Montreal DJ and producer Jacques Greene has announced his new album, jg, out 16th October via LUCKYME, alongside lead single “Presence”.
The forthcoming album is Greene’s third official full-length and his first built unapologetically for the dancefloor, a reach toward joy and hopefulness born out of personal upheaval and a turbulent world. It follows earlier singles “What You Say”, alongside labelmate umru, and “Closer”, featuring DJ BORING. Collaborations on the record grew organically out of Greene’s own orbit, and also includes a track with LA artist SEES00000 born from a walk to get tacos.
Speaking on the album, Greene explained: “This record moves away from concepts and follows an intuition for places where I wanted to be and where I would be wanted.”
Greene has released dance music for over fifteen years, breaking through globally with “Another Girl” and following it with two acclaimed albums, Feel Infinite and Dawn Chorus. The artist’s most recent project, 2025’s Verses GT in collaboration Nosaj Thing, was created around “betting on headspace”, garnering widespread tastemaker support in the process.
