Silva Bumpa has announced the Sterling Weekender, a series of events under his Sterling label and event brand, taking place in his hometown of Sheffield on 7th and 8th November.
The weekend is billed as a celebration of Sheffield’s music scene, pairing the city’s musical heritage with new local talent. It opens with a pop-up shop at Sidney & Matilda, offering signed vinyl, exclusive merchandise and giveaways, which doubles as the pre-party for his sold-out headline show at Electric Studios. It closes with a day and night party at Peddler Warehouse on Sunday 8th November, featuring Sheffield DJ and producer Big Ang, Silva Bumpa and special guest Mella Dee. Silva Bumpa is also teaming up with BBC Introducing Sheffield, inviting aspiring DJs to submit 10-minute guest mixes, with three winners selected by him to be played on the station ahead of the weekend.
The announcement follows his biggest sold-out headline show to date at London’s Roundhouse and a breakout year that includes “On 2nite”, which has reached 74M streams worldwide and peaked at number nine in the UK singles chart. His Hypa EP was followed by sets at Coachella, Parklife, Field Day and Reading and Leeds.
