upsammy and Piezo have released their debut collaborative album as Eerie Enterprise, Places Remember Events, via Dekmantel.
The nine-track record blends the duo’s individual styles into elegant, angular electronica with a nostalgic, melodic pull, crisp and modern in sound but aiming to soothe rather than shock. It grew out of two days of open-ended, hardware-led studio sessions in July 2024, with the sketches developed and finished over the following year and a half. Thessa Torsing (upsammy) and Luca Mucci (Piezo) have each built distinct catalogues, with Torsing known for her 2020 Dekmantel album Zoom and Mucci for his work across bass music and techno.
Both released other collaborative projects earlier this year, upsammy with Valentina Magaletti on Seismo via PAN, and Piezo as part of PPP with DJ Plead and DJ Python on Bborn Again via Wisdom Teeth. Eerie Enterprise premiered their live show at Dekmantel and SOUNDIT festivals last summer, with more shows to come.
