Following her scintillating Intrepid Skin debut a couple of years ago, Berlin-based DJ and producer Valerie Ace returns to the label with a brand new EP titled Strass & Stress set for release March 1st, 2024 via digital platforms and vinyl.
Having already unleashed “Anxious No Afraid” ahead of the EP, Ace, today, reveals an exclusive listen to “How To Fit In” found on the B-Side of the project. Best described a winding, industrial-leaning finely tuned chaos, the new track is certain to leave a lasting impact on the listener, rounding off of the project in style.
With a background in organising DIY raves and a commitment to community-led efforts in electronic music, Ace’s forthcoming Strass & Stress EP carefully fuses references from a range of genres into a singular, contemporary take on techno. Guided by an instinctive ear for experimental, groove-driven frameworks, her strain of dance music is hard-edged but mischievous, playful but heartfelt.
