Renowned worldwide for blending techno with rock and performance art, NewYork-native Lady Starlight has become a beacon of creativity through her distinctive sound and dynamic performances, including her hardware-based live shows. In terms of music releases, Lady Starlight has built up an impressive catalogue of music over the years, releasing records on legendary labels such as Figure, Ostgut Ton, and Tresor to name a few.
Returning to Tresor Records, and continuing to push creative boundaries, Lady Starlight has announced her next instalment titled Capricorn Rising, consisting of five slick cuts skipping between strands of techno, acid and trance.
On the new EP, Lady Starlight states: “I thought of myself as fearless since I have always rejected societal norms and I’m very comfortable expressing ideas. However, I realised I actually had a lot of fear when expressing anything emotional.”
A certain highlight from the record is opener, and our premiere, “Chapter 23”, best described as an industrial-dipped roller that creaks with eerie atmospherics before erupting into a meteor shower of kicks.
