Venna enlists Jorja Smith for new single “Myself”

South London Grammy-winning saxophonist and producer Venna has returned with “Myself”, featuring BRIT Award winner Jorja Smith.

The final release ahead of his debut album MALIK, “Myself” blends yearning and vulnerability, showcasing Jorja’s vocals alongside heartfelt writing and refined production from Venna and Yussef Dayes. The track follows previous singles including “Twisting” ft. Leon Thomas, “Day x2” ft. MIKE and Marco Bernardis, and May’s “My Way,” which marked Venna’s first lead vocal performance.

Speaking on the single, Venna explained: “Myself is an ode to choosing yourself & your peace in times when we feel conflicted in what we should do. Sometimes our heart differs from our mind & it’s in those moments where we really need to assess how we feel and what’s best for us. When the instrumental was being made Jorja Smith was the one & only person I really thought of for the record & she assisted me in making a record that I know is very special and honest. Jorja is a special artist & I’m happy that the music spoke to her in a way where she could feel free and create in the way she did.”
