Merrell’s performance division MTL (Merrell Test Lab) unveils a new collection for AW25 that fuses athlete-tested innovation with refined design.
Leading the lineup is the MTL Adapt Matryx 1TRL, designed with a Matryx® upper made from Kevlar® and high-tenacity polyamide for lightweight durability and breathability. It’s finished with a Vibram MegaGrip outsole for unmatched traction across all terrains.
The Long Sky 2 Matryx 1TRL follows with enhanced temperature regulation via mesh detailing and a FloatPro™ midsole paired with an ETPU high-rebound foam footbed for long-distance comfort. The Skyfire 2 Matryx 1TRL builds on the formula with a BZM-8 flexplate for agility and dual-density cushioning for superior endurance.
The AW25 range debuts two colourways—Superior/Chestnut, a 1TRL exclusive, and Mantis/Blossom—and the campaign, captured across races in Saint Jeoire, France and Chuncheon, Korea, highlights the “primal state” runners enter during endurance events—a raw connection between instinct, movement and environment.
