A.P.C. has introduced the latest chapter of its ongoing Quilts series, with Round 29 drawing inspiration from the form, rhythm and quiet strength of flowers.
Designed by Jessica Ogden, the collection translates botanical studies into textile art that blends precision with poetry. Ogden references artists Georgia O’Keeffe and Nick Knight, as well as historical botanical illustrations, to capture nature’s intricate details and organic harmony. Some quilts take on an abstract, kaleidoscopic quality, echoing the fragmented yet balanced nature of blooms.
Each piece begins as a hand drawing in Ogden’s Jamaica studio before being crafted from A.P.C.’s leftover fabrics, chosen for their textures and hues. The quilts are then meticulously assembled at A.P.C.’s workshop in India, known for its artisanal patchwork expertise. The series was photographed by Alfredo Piola on Margarita Island, Venezuela.
