A24 has released the second trailer for Marty Supreme, the upcoming feature from Uncut Gems co-director Josh Safdie, starring Timothée Chalamet as a fictionalised version of legendary table tennis champion Marty Reisman.
Set in 1950s New York, the film follows Marty Mauser, a streetwise ping pong hustler who rises from smoky basement games to international fame, all while navigating fame, obsession, and fractured relationships. Co-written by Safdie and longtime collaborator Ronald Bronstein, the movie promises Safdie’s trademark intensity and kinetic realism, blending sports drama with dark comedy.
The cast also includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, Tyler, The Creator (in his feature film debut), Kevin O’Leary, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher. Backed by producers Eli Bush and Anthony Katagas, Marty Supreme arrives in theatres on 25th December.
