British artist Reuben Dangoor has announced his latest exhibition, This Lime Green and Pleasant Land, a five-day showcase exploring the humour, contradictions, and evolving identity of modern British culture.
The show will open with an exclusive preview night for VIP guests, press, and fans, featuring 14 new paintings alongside Dangoor’s most celebrated works, collaborations and collectibles. Taking inspiration from William Blake’s iconic phrase, the exhibition reimagines quintessential British imagery through a satirical, contemporary lens.
Across the show, Dangoor continues his playful reinterpretation of Britishness, from oil portraits of grime legends like Skepta and D Double E styled as aristocrats, to miniature “Lost Mary” vapes painted as traditional English cottages, a wry comment on housing and youth culture. Visitors can also experience immersive installations, including the Better Listening Lounge, surrounded by portraits of iconic musicians such as Amy Winehouse and Mike Skinner.
Collaborators Oditi, Lyle & Scott, and Salomon Sportstyle will host live screen-printing sessions, custom workshops, and a closing community run with Panna Run Club, whilst panel talks with the Rio Ferdinand Foundation and refreshments from the Peak Mood Bar round out the programme.
