Snow Strippers, the Detroit electro-pop duo behind one of the most intense online followings in recent years, played a sold-out show at Exhibition White City last Thursday—complete with a massive queue wrapping around the back of the building before doors even opened, showing just how dedicated their fanbase is. EERA opened the night, and as a member of the Surf Gang collective, he had the crowd fully locked in early.
When Tatiana and Graham entered the stage, the reaction was instant. Tatiana’s movements were a key part of the show—effortless and unmistakably her. Heavy smoke and strobing lights filled the space, sometimes swallowing her, sometimes carving the space into sharp, rhythmic flashes. Visually, it synced perfectly with the music which was raw and intense.
They played for about an hour, moving between some of their most known tracks and unreleased material. The crowd were very young, very online, and had their phones up nearly the whole time, but were also fully dedicated. By the time the set ended, the room felt overheated and chaotic in the best way, people were sweaty, messy, and clearly not ready for it to be over.
