Audio-Technica Unveils Its New AT-LP7X Turntable

Audio-Technica has introduced the AT-LP7X turntable at CES 2026, expanding its vinyl lineup with a fully manual, belt-driven model.

The AT-LP7X features a matte black MDF plinth paired with a 20mm acrylic platter, designed to reduce resonance and vibration for cleaner playback. A J-shaped aluminum tonearm, referencing Audio-Technica designs from the 1960s and ’70s—anchors the setup, fitted with an AT-VM95E cartridge mounted on the AT-LT10 headshell. The cartridge is compatible with the wider VM95 stylus range, allowing easy upgrades.

Supporting 33⅓ and 45 RPM playback, the turntable uses a belt-drive motor with speed-sensor control to maintain consistent rotation. It also includes a built-in phono preamp that can be bypassed for external systems, along with adjustable vertical tracking angle, anti-skate control, and additional counterweights to accommodate a wide range of cartridges.
