‘The White Lotus’ Is Heading To The French Riviera For Season 4

HBO’s The White Lotus is heading to the French Riviera for its fourth season, with Château de La Messardière in Saint-Tropez set to serve as the primary backdrop for the series, sources confirm.

The 19th-century hilltop hotel will stand in as the latest fictional White Lotus resort, continuing creator Mike White’s tradition of pairing luxury destinations with sharp social satire. The selection follows months of speculation after reports emerged last year that the anthology series would relocate to France. White was spotted scouting multiple Riviera locations, including Nice’s Hotel Negresco, before settling on the Saint-Tropez landmark.

Unlike previous seasons, which were supported by a marketing partnership with the Four Seasons, Season 4 is not tied to a single hotel group, allowing for greater flexibility in location. It remains unclear whether additional resorts will feature alongside Château de La Messardière, as has been the case in past instalments.

Perched above the Bay of Saint-Tropez, the château offers panoramic Mediterranean views and a private beach club nearby, providing a fitting setting for the show’s next chapter of wealth and intrigue.
