Daniel Avery has released “Neon Pulse (Midnight Version),” the latest track from his forthcoming remix album Tremor (Midnight Versions), due 6th March via Domino.

Conceived as a nocturnal counterpart to last year’s acclaimed Tremor album, Tremor (Midnight Versions) strips the tracks back and refocuses them through a techno framework, emphasising intensity and club-driven energy, while retaining Avery’s trademark emotional depth. Multiple Midnight Versions have already surfaced, including “Haze” featuring Ellie Rowsell, “Rapture In Blue” featuring Cecile Believe and “Greasy Off The Racing Line” featuring Alison Mosshart.

Speaking on the remixes, Avery explained: “There are various techno heartbeats buried at the centre of Tremor so it felt good to bring these to the forefront on the Midnight Versions. Machine music with a human soul – it’s an idea that has driven so much of what I do over the years. This track feels like the perfect example of that.”

The album’s release coincides with Avery’s newly announced DJ residency at London’s Phonox, running every Friday throughout March. The series will feature guest appearances from Richard Fearless, Imogen, DJ Mell G and DJ Stingray 313, before concluding with an all-night set from Avery on 27th March. The release also follows Avery’s sold-out Barbican performance last year, where he combined his trademark electronic production with a live band.
