HARDWEAR unfolded as a day-to-night takeover spotlighting London’s underground creative communities, billed as “a sensory assault initiated by London’s underground.” Powered by Nike SNKRS, the event brought the Goadome Low silhouette into a live setting, translating the rugged shoe into a broader system of sound and future-facing energy.
By day centred on material culture, presenting a brutalist exhibition of large-scale, tactile installations. Participating artists included Spike Gonzo, Brennan Wojtyla, FO.A.M, Mattia Guarnera, Blackatlantic.net, Nicole Greenwood, No Licence Archive, Fredwave + Parkland, Yuming Lu, Nathan Wright, Mourah Sakr and George Edwards. Through immersive surfaces and spatial interventions, the exhibition explored themes of temporality and industrial form.
After dark, HARDWEAR by night pivoted to London’s sonic underground with a curated programme of DJs and live performers. Sets from SINN6R, Young Eman, TeeboFG, Antagonists, DopeSolitary, Kare and LeahGte showcased a cross-section of the capital’s music ecosystem, closing the takeover with a high-energy celebration of the communities shaping it.
