Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first trailer for Dune: Part Three, offering an early look at the final chapter in Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s sci-fi saga.
The film continues the story of Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet, shifting forward 17 years and drawing from Herbert’s sequel Dune Messiah. The trailer signals a darker, more militarised tone, with Paul now ruling as emperor while facing the consequences of his growing power and the threat of widespread conflict.
Returning cast members include Zendaya as Chani and Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, alongside Jason Momoa, whose character Duncan Idaho appears to return. New footage also highlights Anya Taylor-Joy as Paul’s sister Alia following the time jump, and introduces Robert Pattinson as antagonist Scytale.
Set against large-scale battle sequences and the franchise’s signature stark visuals, the film explores Paul’s descent as war spreads across Arrakis and beyond. Dune: Part Three is scheduled for release on 18th December.
