kid apollo release highly-anticipated single “i let the sun back in”

UK trio kid apollo have returned to the sound sphere with new single “i let the sun back in”, released via UnitedMasters.

Following their earlier 2026 release “kumbaya”, kid apollo’s latest track blends distorted textures and soaring melodies with lo-fi indie influences, unfolding from introspective vocals into an anthemic chorus. The track further showcases the trio’s ability to fuse raw emotion with genre-blurring production.

Speaking on the single, the kid apollo explained: “‘i let the sun back in’ speaks on lifting the veil that was once blocking the light and what it feels like to have this weight be eased off you in this way. Despite its melancholic surface, it’s actually a cry out of positivity and ultimately a hopeful moment of reflection whilst reopening yourself to light.”

Comprised of Jimmy HM and twin brothers Felix and Theo Ratigan, kid apollo have quickly emerged as one of the UK underground’s most exciting creative collectives. The group maintain a hands-on approach across their work, writing, producing and recording their music while also directing the visual world surrounding each release.
