Overmono have shared new single “Even Angels Ghost”, the latest preview of their forthcoming second album Pure Devotion, set for release on 7th August via XL Recordings.
Featuring vocals from Tennessee artist Kindora, the track follows recent single “Lockup” and arrives alongside a new visual directed by longtime collaborator Rollo Jackson, expanding the album’s cinematic world. Kindora, whose music first caught the duo’s attention through Bandcamp discoveries that later inspired samples on earlier Overmono releases, now appears with original vocals on the track, adding a warm and emotive dimension to the production.
“Even Angels Ghost” offers another glimpse into Pure Devotion, an 11-track project shaped by experimental recording techniques and writing retreats in Spain and Iceland. The album sees brothers Tom and Ed Russell continue to push their sound into new territory, blending electronic innovation with emotionally driven songwriting and contributions from collaborators including Kindora, John Joseph Holt and Ruthven.
