Spotify has launched DIA/LOG, a new live event series in partnership with Drumsheds, debuting Saturday 17th October at Drumsheds in London.
The first edition is headlined by Dubstep originators Skream & Benga, spanning three rooms and bringing together figures from across bass music, including Plastician, Sir Spyro, D Double E, LTJ Bukem, SBTRKT, Jammer, Special Request, MJ Cole and Flava D, alongside newer artists including Nitepunk, Jakes, Skalah, EMA, Carré, Dangermami, Rohaan, Bad Behli, GЯEG, Surusinghe and Emily Makis.
Speaking on the event, Skream & Benga explained: “We’re going back2thefuture with DIA/LOG. The story of Skream & Benga isn’t just about looking back at what we’ve done or celebrating where dubstep came from – it’s about recognising how far the culture has travelled, where it’s grown to, and where it’s going to next. For us, this is about celebrating that evolution of dubstep into UK bass, grime and surrounding sounds, the artists pushing boundaries, and the new generation taking it to the next stages. It’s about honouring the past while keeping our eyes to the future – and who has been with us on that journey.”
DIA/LOG is designed around the idea of music as an ongoing conversation across genres and generations, with each edition curated jointly by Spotify and Drumsheds. The series will be featured within a dedicated Drumsheds hub on Spotify, alongside artist catalogues and an official playlist.
A Spotify Top Fans pre-sale opens at 12noon on Wednesday 26th August, offering Premium users who are top fans of artists on the lineup exclusive access for 72 hours. Top fans will be contacted directly by Spotify on announcement day with pre-sale details.
General tickets go on sale Wednesday 2nd September, with a wider pre-sale opening at 10am (sign up here) followed by general sale at 1pm here.
