Jersey Club’s powerhouse UNIIQU3 returns with scintillating new cut “Papi”

Jersey Club favourite UNIIQU3 has released “Papi”, her third single of the year and the latest preview of her upcoming debut album.

A guaranteed club-heater, “Papi” channels the energy of Latin dance clubs across Spain and Mexico, and is built around the feeling of dancefloors in cities such as Barcelona and Mexico City. Boasting production from acclaimed Australian producer Swick and featuring trailblazing Baltimore artist Spank Rock, the track follows previous singles “Mile High Club”, which reached the BBC Radio 6 Music B-List, and “Calling My Name” with Leonce and Cakes Da Killa. The run of releases marks UNIIQU3’s return to Local Action, the label behind her 2021 EP “Heartbeats” and single “Microdosing”, the first Jersey Club record longlisted for a Grammy.

Speaking on the new single, UNIIQU3 explained: “After a smooth take off with “Mile High Club” and answering the phone to every dance floor that’s “Calling my Name” it’s time to visit a few of my favorite international cities, PAPI embodies the energy of the Latin Dance Clubs I’d DJ in Spain and Mexico. The production is fun and in your face but the lyrics have a mysterious tone that enchants you”.

Over the past couple of years, UNIIQU3 has toured with Tinashe, opened for Beyoncé on the Renaissance world tour, gone platinum as a co-writer for Chloe, and been sampled by Doechii.

The multi-hyphenate’s debut album is set to be announced in the coming weeks and functions as a sonic passport, reflecting the places UNIIQU3 has toured, with production from Swick and vocals from Spank Rock and Jazz Alonso.
