Erykah Badu and The Alchemist have released an NTS live session, directed by Yasser Abubeker, featuring new material from their joint album Before The World Blows.
The session was filmed in the courtyard of Alvaro Barrington’s studio in East London, with Badu and The Alchemist performing alongside her digital collective The Cannabinoids and guest DJ Creole Princess. It featured tracks including “Echos”, “I Just Play A Part” and “Witch Doctor”, alongside reworked fan favourites, and follows a promotional campaign that included cryptic posters across several cities and an interactive phone challenge, the Badu Burner Phone.
The session precedes the pair’s Abi + Alan headline tour, beginning tomorrow at Ravinia Festival in Highland Park and running across 14 North American dates through 1st November, including a newly added Dallas show in collaboration with Spotify. Tickets are available to purchase here.
