Shygirl has announced her new album, Swallow!, out 6th November via Because Music, alongside new single “Lucky (Hymn)”.
The album blends indie songwriting with Shygirl’s electronic roots, with contributions from Karma Kid and Casey MQ. Shygirl began writing the record following her debut album Nymph, describing it as a reintroduction shaped by falling in love. “Lucky (Hymn)” arrives with a music video co-directed by Shygirl and Austen Taylor Pease, filmed in a single unbroken take and continuing the character-driven narrative introduced in her previous video, featuring Shygirl’s character “Alyse” alongside “Kay”.
Shygirl previewed new material from Swallow! at Draaimolen festival in the Netherlands on 4th September, with further shows planned in Italy, Iceland and Spain later this year.
