DaMetalMessiah has announced DaMetalMessiah x FABRICLIVE., a multi-artist compilation capturing the sound of grime in 2026, releasing via fabric Records.
The compilation extends the DaMetalMessiah events held at fabric over the past 12 months and joins the club’s FABRICLIVE. discography, which includes volumes from Fabio, Caspa and Rusko, David Rodigan, Ben UFO, DJ EZ, Elijah and Skilliam, and Skream. It pairs handpicked producers with MCs from each era of grime, with contributions from veterans including Trim, Manga Saint Hilaire and Pinch, newer names such as Kibo, Chamber 45 and Renz, and experimental artists including Cimm and Pholo.
Speaking on the compilation, DaMetalMessiah explained: “I’ve always been interested in the different directions grime can be pushed, particularly the ongoing conversation around its place on the dancefloor”, says DaMetalMessiah. “This compilation explores the possibilities within grime, bringing together artists who approach the sound from different perspectives and push it into new territory.
Grime hasn’t always been welcomed into clubs. When the police were putting pressure on promoters not to put on grime events, fabric was one of the spaces that continued to champion the sound. Given that history, and fabric’s status as an institution in UK club culture, there’s something particularly meaningful about releasing a project through a venue that has played such an important role in preserving grime’s legacy.”
First single “Blackwall Tunnel”, a link-up between producer Toura and Manga Saint Hilaire, has been released alongside the announcement.
DaMetalMessiah x FABRICELIVE. releases on November 26th and is available to pre-order here. Bonus instrumentals and a limited-edition, hand-stamped 12″ vinyl will be announced soon.
