Cherrie B has released her highly-anticipated EP, Follow My Lead, via b4, alongside a self-directed video for “Poise”.

Executive produced by fUnlistenable with additional production from Umru, the seven-track project features recent singles “little Miss Karma” and “Reciprocity / Respect”. Written at home in London and developed across London, New York and LA, the record has no vocal features by design and centres on confidence and learning to trust her instincts.

Across the EP, desire and romance become vehicles for bigger questions about identity. Throughout, “not so Innocent” lays out a verbal contract between two people who know what they want, whilst “Digital Affair” captures the anticipation of online romance, and “Loverboy” takes its name in part from Charles Jeffrey’s LOVERBOY.

Speaking on the project, Cherrie B explained: “I want people to feel empowered, sexy, confident and brave enough to go after what they want. I hope the music makes people feel like the main character in their own lives. This feels like one of the truest representations of who I am so far. It’s the soundtrack to becoming the person you’ve always known you were.”

Cherrie B blends bubblegum pop, electroclash and club music, working across music, fashion, photography and internet culture. Her single “GL77ER” passed 100,000 streams, and the EP is her most complete statement to date.

The multi-hyphenate has also been announced to perform at the PC Music Halloween party at Colour Factory on 31st October.
