Tempa is reissuing Skream’s self-titled debut album on triple vinyl and CD to mark its 20th anniversary, which falls today, 30th October.
The album reached anthemic status on release and was an important stepping stone in shaping dubstep and the wider electronic music landscape. It remains a point of reference for the next generation of artists coming through. Pre-orders are open now via Tempa’s Bandcamp.
Speaking on the album via IG, Skream explained: “At the time I was terrified about putting an album out and tbh wasn’t absolutely over the moon with how it sounded because I wasn’t used to putting an album together…. Sarah Lockhart believed I could do it and I guess she was right! The feedback and reaction this album had was out of this world. I still get messages about it now.”
