adidas Originals and Avavav continue their collaboration for Spring/Summer 2026, with creative director Beate Skonare Karlsson refining the partnership’s warped take on sportswear.
The new collection reshapes adidas staples through sculptural silhouettes, optical prints and exaggerated proportions. Track pieces return in cropped and moulded forms, while a tight base layer is engineered to mimic a classic track top, a recurring visual trick in the collaboration. Elsewhere, a hooded mini dress, shoulderless hoodie, reworked T-shirt and denim trousers expand the range, alongside printed shorts that twist familiar athletic codes. Accessories include sweatbands, long socks, a slashed double-brim cap and an oversized leather sports bag, the largest version released so far.
In terms of footwear, the Avavav Megaride strips back the inflated Moonrubber Megaride into a rawer silhouette, offered in canvas and suede with windowed mesh uppers and cut-out caging. The Modified Superstar also returns in two versions, the Deconstructed Superstar with a collapsible leather upper and the Shaved Pony Superstar in faux pony hair.
The campaign is shot by longtime Avavav collaborator Lennert Madou, using off-kilter still lifes to match the collection’s surreal but elevated tone.
