Dublin collective Bricknasty have returned with “bobinov”, their first release of 2026, following the success of last year’s acclaimed EP BLACKS LAW.
Produced by Cillian McCauley, the new single builds on the band’s genre-blurring sound, weaving together indie, soul and alternative influences with groove-driven production. Lyrically, “bobinov” explores themes of connection, distance and longing, delivered through frontman Fatboy’s distinctive vocal style.
Speaking on the single, “This song comes from our time touring overseas just wanting to inject more energy into the live show and show case tight song writing that blasts angst and feeling out of it so we can rock the shop and give people that buzz when we’re all in the room”.
The release arrives alongside a surreal music video inspired by retro PS2-era gaming and stop-motion animation. Created with members of the team behind Bricknasty’s ‘vinland’ visual, the video reflects the track’s mix of nostalgic energy and emotional depth.
“bobinov” marks the band’s first new material since BLACKS LAW, which established Bricknasty as one of Ireland’s most compelling emerging acts with its exploration of faith, addiction and political disillusionment.
